[Sandlot] Sandlot Service Day with Full Furnished Ministries

AO: Sandlot
Q: Redcoat ,
PAX: Stogie, Boardwalk, Twinkle, Redcoat, Venus
FNGs: None
COUNT: 5
CONDITIONS: Perfecto… threatened rain and then turned into a chamber of commerce day.
THE THANG:
– Convened at FFM warehouse in Norcross
– Heard opening remarks and inspiration from director John Dance
– Loaded our truck with furniture to give to the family at our first stop of the day, in Alpharetta. Assembled beds, dressers, and dining room set, and prayed with the family members that were present.
– Car-moseyed to second stop to receive a donation from a Vertias-co-op family whose children had outgrown their dresser and table. We prayed with this mother and her kids who are approaching the end of high school and emerging as young adults looking at college and beyond, seeking to represent God’s light IN the world and not hide from it.
– Proceeded to our final stop, in Cumming, to receive a donation from a gentleman who was emptying the garden home of a deceased relative. They generously donated multiple beds, dressers, and tables in good condition that FFM can turn around donate without any TLC. This gentleman declined our request to pray with him, but we shared a quick COT in his driveway before heading out.
– Finally, returned to FFM warehouse to unload our truck; thanked FFM staff; grabbed a donut for our troubles; snapped a Boy Band pic (not pictured: Stogie); and departed ways.

Loved serving with PAX from Sandlot and we hope to do it again in the 2nd half of 2026!
