COT:
“Devotional Reflection on Philippians 3:8″”
“What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord…”

As men, fathers, and leaders, we often carry a weight of responsibility. We strive to provide, to protect, to lead well. And in the process, we sometimes attach our worth to our performance — our careers, our possessions, our reputation, or how others view us.

Paul reminds us in this verse that even the most impressive accomplishments — the things that once defined him — are meaningless compared to knowing Jesus. He doesn’t just say they’re less important; he calls them garbage. Why? Because when you’ve encountered the depth of grace, purpose, and identity found in Christ, everything else fades in comparison.

This is a call to realignment. Our true legacy won’t be built on our job titles, bank accounts, or public image — it will be built on our pursuit of Christ and how we reflect Him in our homes and communities. When our children, wives, coworkers, and friends see that our confidence and peace come from Jesus, we lead with more than strength — we lead with eternal perspective.

As men, we are called to something higher than worldly success: to be grounded in faith, unwavering in integrity, and humble in heart. That starts by recognizing that knowing Christ is the highest gain — and everything else, though it may have its place, is secondary.

“”Leadership Takeaway:””
Let your identity be rooted in who you are in Christ, not in what you do or what you’ve accomplished. True strength, influence, and legacy begin with surrender.”
